Commissioners of Police from Anguilla, St. Maarten and St. Kitts-Nevis have agreed to an eight-point commitment to deal with trans-national crimes between the three territories. The commissioners met in Basseterre on Monday to discuss ways the three can combat the growing problem of illegal firearms and gang-related violence.
He pointed to establishing legislation for extradition between St. Maarten and St. Kitts-Nevis; intelligence sharing of gang members travels between the territories and monitoring for human trafficking.“We want to work out a mechanism to alert each of our islands when these persons are on the move so that some kind of action.
