The Cannabis Bill expected to be debated when Parliament meets later this month is timely and has public support, says Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Shawn Richards.Minister Richards tells WINN FM that he is looking forward to parliamentary approval to transform the bill into law.
I am extremely comfortable with the bill I do believe that we have reached that stage where we have to accept that persons smoke cannabis and you even had a recent court case indicating that based on the constitution that persons would have a right to smoke cannabis in particular for religious purposes. This is something that the government cannot shy away from, it is something that is happening the world throughout and the fact is that a majority of persons in the federation.
