CITIZENS and residents of the Federation will be seeing a further five-day opening of business next new week as the Government moves to gradually reopen the local economy, following a series of lockdowns to combat the spread of the Coronavirus.
In announcing new measures as part of the SR&O No.16, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris disclosed that from next week businesses will have an additional day of limited operations – Monday (May 11) to Friday (May 15).“They must also provide for a sanitised environment and insist that their staff and customers wear face masks, as we turn to a semblance of near normalcy.

That announcement followed the Government allowing four days previously for shopping, where only essential workers were allowed to do so.In the new regulations, a similar pattern of five days will be had for the following week, beginning Monday (May 18) and ending Friday (May 22).“That is, there will be five days of limited business operations from Monday to Friday.
